OpenELIS Capacity Building: I-TECH CIV, a Key Partner for Public Health Laboratories in Côte d'Ivoire

March 2025 was a month of intense on-site activity for I-TECH CIV teams, deployed across Côte d’Ivoire to strengthen laboratory systems through the maintenance and optimization of OpenELIS servers. Our commitment: to ensure data reliability and equip health professionals for efficient management of biological analyses.

On-site Support at CMSB Torgokaha

From March 11 to 12, a maintenance mission was carried out on the OpenELIS servers at the CMSB in Torgokaha. This crucial intervention was followed by a capacity-building session on the use of the consolidated OpenELIS server, with Mr. Bamba Edouard as the attendee. New users also benefited from specific guidance on entering viral load analysis requests.

Strengthening Skills at AIBEF Daloa Laboratory

The I-TECH CIV team traveled to AIBEF Daloa for an OpenELIS server maintenance mission. The biologist technicians benefited from a capacity-building session focused on technical and biological validations in OpenELIS, thus ensuring a better quality of analysis results.

Korhogo: Performance and Prevention at the CHR Laboratory

On March 12, the Korhogo Regional Hospital Center (CHR) benefited from OpenELIS server maintenance. Mr. Kamagaté Bassia, IT Service Manager at I-TECH CIV, notably performed preventive maintenance on the server. A capacity-building session on technical and biological validations in OpenELIS was provided to biologist technician Mr. DIARRA. These actions helped to consolidate local expertise and ensure the smooth operation of viral load platforms.

Man: Innovation at the CHR Laboratory

On March 18, 2025, the Man Regional Hospital Center (CHR) saw the implementation of a new feature on OpenELIS: the configuration of electronic requests. This advancement greatly simplifies the analysis request processes, also ensuring good data quality, a step further towards the full digitalization of laboratory services.

This multi-site mission demonstrates I-TECH CIV’s constant commitment to supporting digital health infrastructure in Côte d’Ivoire. By combining technical maintenance and user training, we actively contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of diagnostics, serving better public health. I-TECH CIV continues to be a key partner in the modernization of laboratories in Côte d’Ivoire.
