QISSEC

Dr. KROU Nathalie
CQI Branch Chief
Through a five-year cooperative agreement with the United States Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR),
I-TECH has implemented Quality Improvement (QI) solutions for sustainable epidemic control (QISSEC) in Côte d’Ivoire.
This project aims to support Côte d’Ivoire in achieving the accelerated UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets, which have not yet been consistently met, particularly among specific populations that are underperforming compared to others.
The QISSEC approach has supported Côte d’Ivoire’s National HIV/AIDS Control Program.
Focused on 80 priority sites across the country, through QISSEC, I-TECH CIV and its partners work closely with local clinics and community partners to:
  • Implement site-level, tailored quality improvement interventions;
  • Integrate community or civil society groups into quality improvement approaches;
  • Establish national quality improvement learning networks;
  • Share quality improvement successes and lessons learned within the learning networks.
I-TECH CIV is a non-governmental organization (NGO) under Ivorian law, established in February 2021. It is affiliated with the American NGO I-TECH. It is governed by Law No. 60.315 of September 20, 1960, concerning associations. It is registered with the Ministry of the Interior under the number 0161/INT/DGAT/DAG/SDVA dated January 15, 2021.
