Word from the Executive Director

 

Dr. Nadine Abiola is a key figure in the field of public health in Côte d’Ivoire. She currently serves as the Executive Director of I-TECH CIV. Under her leadership, I-TECH collaborates closely with the Ivorian government and the CDC to strengthen laboratory information systems and improve services related to the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases.

Originally from Cameroon, Dr. Nadine Abiola brings a wealth of professional experience, having worked on numerous projects across several West African countries (Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Nigeria), Central Africa (Cameroon, Chad), Kenya, Madagascar, and Haiti. She has collaborated with major organizations such as CDC/HIV and the African Development Bank, playing a vital role in managing and implementing public health projects in these regions.

She is particularly recognized for her commitment to promoting diversity within teams and her ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

One of her major contributions includes adapting and implementing electronic systems for monitoring HIV viral loads, aimed at improving data collection and quality in Ivorian laboratories. This initiative is crucial for addressing gaps in healthcare delivery, particularly in communities affected by HIV.

I-TECH CIV is a non-governmental organization (NGO) under Ivorian law, established in February 2021. It is affiliated with the American NGO I-TECH. It is governed by Law No. 60.315 of September 20, 1960, concerning associations. It is registered with the Ministry of the Interior under the number 0161/INT/DGAT/DAG/SDVA dated January 15, 2021.
